After 6-Months Of No-Eye Contact, Dad Figures Out Adopted Dog’s ‘True Passion’

Adopting an abused pet can be a challenging task that requires effort. Blaine, an adventure-loving father, rescued Penni, an abused pet, just before she was scheduled to be put down. However, Penni’s shy and anxious nature proved difficult for her to feel at ease with Blaine, despite his unconditional love for her.

Penni made no eye contact with Dad for the past six months. Even when he would come for a visit, she would refuse to go on walks and seemed to be always scared of everything. Her past spent in an abusive drug house basement had taken a toll on her and she would always curl up into a corner and look gloomy.

Penni’s life took a turn for the better, however, when Dad moved from New Jersey to Las Vegas. He started taking Penni on hikes and that proved to be a beacon of light she needed. Slowly, she came out of her shell and finally embraced the passionate spirit inside her.

Penni has finally found her perfect adventure partner in Dad, who is always ready to go on hikes. By escaping the blanket of cold weather in Michigan for warmer climates, Penni is renewed to enjoy life again.

Penni is the happiest when she is outside. Every dog owner has the responsibility to integrate his/her dog into the family, and Dad knows that Penni wouldn’t trade anything in the world for freedom!
